Art and writing is my happy place, my therapy and expression. 

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's age forty and after that my creativity exploded. I am unable to stop thinking of new ideas and ways to experiment! This has resulted in some memorable failures which explains why there is a mound of solid concrete on the back drive and an inflatable woman in the garden shed! My partner often says 'that is not coming in the house.' 

I don't have a particular style, I just do my writing and art mostly without thought or planning. It's almost like a journal as it so often reflects my mood.

I was a social worker for 23 years and a lot of my work reflects my observations and experiences in my career, mostly that the system fails children and parents and also social workers. Those children are so often the inspiration for my art and poetry. Despite that, I loved my career and miss the camaraderie and fun I had with the team I worked with as well as the amazingly resilient and charismatic young people I met along the way.
